Special COVID-19 Announcement

As always, the health and well-being of our patients is our first priority.

It’s understandable to be concerned about the coronavirus. Please know that the precautions we already take every day to prevent the spread of infection in our practice also helps prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Before you enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles, floor, and countertops, have been cleaned and disinfected. The equipment is covered with protective covers, which are replaced after each patient.

Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused. Infection control precautions also require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, gowns, head covering, and eye wear and are used during every procedure. After each patient, the used PPE is thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and uses hand sanitizer before putting on their new PPE. We are only scheduling one patient at a time in our office to minimize exposure.

If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.

If you or someone you are in close contact with have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 (China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Mexico, and the rest of Europe ) or if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution, wait 24 days until you come to see us to make sure you have not been infected with COVID-19.

We will be treating any patient that has a true dental emergency that can be resolved with endodontic treatment. Severe dental pain (throbbing or aching), and/or an abscess (swelling in the mouth) with lymphadenopathy (swollen and tender lymph nodes) related to a dental infection.

If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your scheduled dental appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, stay in your car and call our front desk. A staff member will come out with your paperwork if not already filled out. A series of questions will be asked and your temperature will be taken. If you are cleared, you will be escorted into the office for treatment. We are following the guidelines set forth by the Governor of Ohio, the Ohio Dental Association, the Ohio State Dental Board, and the CDC to limit our patients' exposure to the public. You are more than welcome to bring your own thermometer and hand sanitizer. We have both and will provide them should you not possess them.

My staff and I are here to help the community to the best of our ability. Treating these issues will help prevent emergency room visits and lessen the strain on the medical community. Please feel free to call our office to discuss any issues you may have and to have your questions answered.

Went through hell for weeks with dental issues. Couldn’t get into a endodontist for 2 weeks and dealt with intense pain for that duration. Went to a new dentist who referred me to Dr. Myers and couldn’t be happier. They got me in within a couple days.
